Are you getting an error message like “RPC is not configured properly”; when you start Outlook 2003?

I am getting a different kind of error now a day. Error message is:

“A system component, RPC, required by Outlook to connect to the e-mail server is not configured properly. For more information, contact your system administrator.”

It always appears when I start my outlook2003. I have setup my e-mail account for Microsoft Exchange server. It works fine but since some days I am receiving error messages. I have checked my internet connection and configuration setting as my skill. I am not able to fix the problem myself. If you have any idea please share with me.

Couple days ago I had an unpleasant situation with my MS Outlook and outlook passwords too. But fortunately I entered the I-net and by accident stumbled upon - recover outlook password. To my great surprise it settled my troubles quite easily and rapidly. Perhaps it has many good features for resolving other complicated conditions.

This kind of error normally occurs when you configure your e-mail account for a Microsoft Exchange server. When you setup your email account for this purpose; it updates the window Registry value. If there arise any problem while updating the value it raises error. Or after updating the value it get changed by other reason it also may raises error like that. If your registry value is as follow then it will not raise Outlook 2003 error.

ncacn_np Rpcrt4.dll
Ncacn_ip_tcp Rpcrt4.dll
Ncadg_ip_udp Rpcrt4.dll
Ncacn_http Rpcrt4.dll

To solve the problem you can follow these steps:

1. Quit all Microsoft programs.
2. Open regedit.exe. To open regedit.exe follow these steps:
a. Open run command by pressing “Window key + R”
b. Type: regedit
c. Press Enter or OK.
3. In the regedit window locate the following key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\RPC\ClientProtocols
4. If you find any missing entry which mentioned above follow these steps:
a. Right-click on ClientProtocols then point to new and then click String Value.
b. Type the Value Name of the missing entry and then press ENTER.
c. Right click on the Value Name; that you created and select Modify.
d. Type the correct Value Data for the Value Name and click OK.
5. Repeat step 4 for each missing value.

It is highly recommended to you that you must be careful while changing the registry value. You should have administrator privilege to opening the regedit.exe. Otherwise you are not able to open regedit.exe. After following all the step successfully your problem will be solved and you will be again able to send or receive email messages from your outlook. If your problem does not solve after correcting the registry key; it means your outlook has including some other problem. In that case you must take help of the PST repair tool. It is very efficient tool for fixing the outlook 2003 Error. This tool is available on the internet. Search on the Google or any search engine; download them and fix your Outlook 2003 error.
