Fix Outlook Express error Ox800ccc90 ?


I was attempting to log into my mail account and suddenly Outlook triggered on unknown Ox800ccc90 error restricting me to access my account and rejecting the password. How to deal with the error?

zlatan24 		My experience in this sphere quite big. But some times I had like problems and didn't resolve theirs. Fortunately I discovered the good solution to my mind, which decided my troubles within short time and perhaps can be useful in like this condition

jenifer 		Ox800ccc90 error is often raised while signing to the Microsoft Exchange Server along with Outlook Express using protected password authentication. The error usually occurs due to issuing invalid username and password or your POP3 mail server need SSL (Secure Socket Layer).

In case if your POP3 mail server asks for SSL, it implies that your Outlook Express on your system is configured to sign in with SSL. This set of security arrangement is rarely required in specific circumstances and the general user doesn’t require it. Thus it is recommended to disable SSL.

Verify your POP3 mail server configuration in the email account settings with proper configuration as the situation may be that your mailbox is not being accessed by Outlook Express POP3 client due to the non-existence of your account or the Exchange Server association may have the custom recipient with the alias resembling yours one. Due to which before accessing your mailbox the exchange server tries to access the custom recipient one.


The antivirus software scan configuration should be correct as often the integrated email scan setting results to slow down the network bandwidth causing interference in the logging process. It is better to turn off the email scanning for temporary period.

The situation may be the outcome of some malformed or infected file download or mail received blocking the account access. The Outlook pst files are corrupted due these malicious mails download as these files are oversized that turn to corrupt the files and enabling Outlook to trigger Ox800ccc90 error when user tries to access the account.
