How to fix oversized PST file?


I have been using Microsoft outlook 2002 for 5 years. Since some days when I try to store something in my outlook, it raises error like “pst has reached maximum size limit”. I tried the inbox repair tool. But after using the inbox repair tool; situation became worse. Now when I open my outlook it shows many different errors. I am so worried about data which is stored in PST file. If you have any solution about my problem; please help me?

You are facing most common problem of the outlook. Most of the outlook users face this kind of problem. This problem normally occurs; when the size of PST files cross their maximum size limit. In your situation; as you are using Microsoft Outlook 2002; the maximum size limit is 2 GB. After crossing this size limit PST file becomes inaccessible. It may get damaged or corrupted also. Beside the “pst has reached maximum size limit” error your outlook can throw many more errors.
In this situation to fix oversized pst file; use of Inbox repair tool may be dangerous for your data. The limitation of inbox repair tool is that it doesn’t work with corrupted pst file. If you use the inbox repair tool with corrupted pst file it may deletes your data permanently. This tool can also damage or corrupt your pst file for forever.
