Is outlook 2003 not starting and raising an error?


I am regular user of outlook 2003 since 2005. I store my most email, messages and contact details in outlook. Since some days I am facing a big problem with my outlook 2003. Whenever I start outlook it raises error as: “Cannot start Microsoft Office Outlook. Unable to open the Outlook window”. I tried some diagnostic tool to resolve this issue; but the problem is as usual. Now I am very worried and hope to you for the appropriate solution.

zlatan24 		Couple days ago I was in unpleasant situation and couldn't solve it immediately. Luckily I began looking for the solution and was lucky, where I found an one tool, which resolved my troubles and to my mind it can solve this situation too

stellasuzi 		Your problem is not a generic problem of Outlook 2003. If you are facing this kind of Outlook 2003 Error then it is necessary to solve the problem immediately. To solve this problem you will have to reopen outlook using with /resetnavpane switch or you will have to delete the <profile_name>.xml. After doing this job you restart your outlook and I am sure that your problem will be solved.

To open /resetnavpane, follow these steps:

• Open run command by pressing “window key + R”
• Type the command: outlook.exe /resetnavpane
• Must be careful while typing the command. There is a blank space before /resetnavpane.
• Press Enter or OK button.

Due to some another reason; if you are facing a problem while using the switch; you can use another process. Find the XML file that contains the navigation pane setting and delete them. It generally looks like <profile_name>.xml. To locate the file:

• Open Run command by pressing “Window key + R”
• Type these command: %appdata%\Microsoft\Outlook
• Press Enter or OK button.

It will open a folder that contains the .xml file. You locate them and delete them. Your problem will be solved. But it is recommended that use the /resetnavpane instead of deleting xml file.
After following all the idea; if your problem did not solve; then you use PST repair tool. It is freely available in the internet. Just download them and it will extinguish from Outlook 2003 Error.
